Ghana CEO Summit join hands to fight against spread of COVID-19
Chief Executive Network Ghana, organisers of CEO Summit says they will join hands in curtailing the spread of the global pandemic, COVID-19 following directives by President Nana Akufo-Addo on Sunday, March 15, 2020.
In a statement issued in by the Founder and CEO-Ghana, Ernest De-Graft Egyir, he said:
“As an organization that is committed to the wellbeing of citizens, we fully support all efforts and interventions by the World Health Organisation, government of Ghana and other stakeholders to ensure that we overcome the challenge that this virus poses.”
He further went ahead to say that:
“Accordingly, we shall continue to keep track of developments while we continue preparing toward the 5th Ghana CEO Summit, scheduled to be held on 18th and 19th May, 2020 at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra. In due course, if the situation requires that we reschedule the Summit in the interest of public health, we shall not hesitate to do that.”
Additionally, he has advised the public to stay safe by enforcing the recommended protocols for stopping the virus spreading.
Wash hands with soap under running water often. Also, physical contact with others has been strongly advised_ hence, people are to maintain a distance of at least 1 metre when interacting with others. Stay away from crowded places, and also sanitisers should be used to sanitise the hands as often as possible.
To support the fight against the spread of the virus, the Ghana CEO Summit is rolling out a campaign dubbed ‘CEO COVID-19: STOP THE SPREAD’ by leading boldly. Using the hashtags #CEOLeadBoldly and #CEOStopTheSpread, a coalition of over 200 CEOs and leaders is asking fellow business and civic leaders in Ghana to lead in efforts to help stop the spread of the virus.
